The walnut came from a board my dad had in his garage for a long time - it's old and stable and very pretty. I can't wait to see how it looks with a glossy finish!
The lovely fingerboard and headstock inlay design was my wife's idea. You can see a bit of the beautiful grain in the ovangkol fingerboard.
Finally – the flow of Mandonator™ activity let me work on this instrument again. It's still in the white, but strung up, and it sounds and plays wonderfully! After playing it, I've decided to make a minor adjustment to the neck shape, then it will be ready for a glossy finish by Addam Stark.
Mandonatorâ„¢ 4 has been completed! You can see photos of the finished instrument on its Gallery page.
